We are located in Dixfield, Maine, a small community located in the Western Maine foothills, forty miles northwest of Lewiston/Auburn, eighty miles northwest of Portland, and 30 miles east of Bethel. We are a small high school of approximately 240 students and 40 staff, and we are a member of the Mountain Valley Conference. Dirigo High School is part of Regional School Unit #56, and the students that attend Dirigo High School reside in the towns of Dixfield, Canton, Carthage, and Peru.
In the classroom, we strive to offer a diverse and rigorous curriculum that challenges all of our students. Outside of the classroom, Dirigo High School offers an array of co-curricular activities in the form of clubs and athletics, as well as music and drama, that provide for another diverse set of learning experiences. We have tremendous school spirit here at Dirigo High School, and our staff and students are always ready to showcase their “Cougar Pride”!
As principal, I welcome the input and assistance of all the stakeholders at Dirigo High School, including staff, students, parents, and citizens, to maintain and advance the excellent reputation of Dirigo High School. You are welcome to contact me here at Dirigo, and also to stop by for a visit.
