Our Pre-K students started their first day today, so we all are now officially back to school. Having said that, please see the reminders below. If you have any questions, please give us a call (562-4207).
Please remember to send back the mountain of paperwork that we sent home last week. We DO need the free/reduced lunch form, even though lunch is free for all. This form allows us to get valuable federal dollars to support classroom teachers and our Title 1 program.
If you are walking your child to the building in the morning we ask that you drop them at the top of the hill so that they can start practicing walking down to the school doors. We have lots of staff on duty to support kids and to help them get to the right classroom. Please also use the crosswalk by the front doors whenever crossing the bus lane with children.
If you are planning on bringing in food for a class party or other event, PLEASE remember we have a number of students with food allergies. As bad as it sounds, we ask that you bring pre-package treats not homemade ones so that we know what is in them. Please always coordinate any treats with your child's teacher.
PLEASE DO NOT send your child with noodles or mac and cheese that has to be cooked with hot water in the microwave. This creates a real potential that they or another student might get burned.
Just a reminder that Open House will be Thursday, September 12 from 5-6 PM and the Community Fair will be from 5-6:30 in the gym.
Again reach out to us if you have any questions!
