Good Morning from RSU 56. Due to power outage at Dirigo Middle School there will be no in person classes today at Dirigo Middle School. Students should check their email by 9am for information from their teachers. Dirigo High School and Dirigo Elementary will hold classes as normal.
Pine Tree Society Children's Conference 2022
This free, one-day conference is designed for parents of children with disabilities to hear industry-leading best practices from childhood development experts and care providers, ask questions specific to their child’s experiences, and meaningfully connect with other parents who share their struggles and their joys.
The 2022 Children’s Conference will cover topics vital to families with children with disabilities, including navigating periods of transition, building social skills and social lives, supporting healthy behaviors and emotional regulation, supportive decision-making into teen years and adulthood, and more.
Attendees will leave with practical tools, advice, resources, and strategies that can be implemented immediately in the home, school, and community, as well as a digital library of free resources to access at any time.

Please take a look at the following notice from River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition : We are partnering with Maine Public Health Nurses to host a Free Vaccine clinic on Friday, Feb 4th at the Rumford Town Hall auditorium.
The clinic will be from 1-4pm.
We are offering all vaccines, boosters and youth vaccines as well.

Good Morning from RSU 56. Busses 2 and 6 will not be able to pick kids up this morning due to a down tree and wire at the Grover bridge road in Carthage. Staff and students will need to go around in order to get to school from Carthage. If you have any questions contact the transportation department at 562-4300.
Remote Learning Lunches for possible snow days.
If you would like your child to be sent home with breakfast and lunch for any remote storm days we may have, please fill out the form below and submit it. Storm pack meals will be sent home before by the first impending storm and are free for any student who may want one. These meals are intended to be consumed in the event of a school closure that will be a remote learning day for all.

The RSU 56 School board voted to move to universal masking while Oxford county is designated in either high or significant risk. Currently Oxford County is listed as a high risk of transmission. RSU 56 will begin requiring all students and staff to wear masks in school starting tomorrow 9/15/2021.
